The Research Center is committed to enable the interaction of our students and faculty with the community: government, business, social promotion, education, etc.

The potential to interact is very wide:

The two ways to interact will be:

  • Students provide research and consulting as part of existing seminars

  • Students or faculty provide research and consulting upon request

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Young Entrepreneurs: students to develop new business opportunities for the business community: competition, consulting, training

Knowledge and Innovation Center, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Small business incubator, Innovation Club (linking innovators, investors and the business world), Joint Venturing

Venture Capital Forums, Entrepreneurs Forum, linking: investors, entrepreneurs, faculty, technology

 

SERVICES TO SMALL AND FAMILY BUSINESSES

Consulting / Workshops and training in-company to develop strategies, using our students and faculty

E-business Development Institute: web site development, business alliances development, new products and services

Market research performed by students

Family business roundtables, forums and awards

Business simulations: marketing and strategy, financial (bourse game), sales management, human resources, business ethics, travel, hospitality, restaurant, etc.

International Business Resource Center: trade, financing, strategy, networking, shipping and logistics

Business-focused services to improve competitiveness, either to export or to compete against imports: Business Partnership Unit, Institute for Materials Technology, Innovative Manufacturing Center, Environmental Technology Center

Center for Economic R&D

Transportation and Logistics Research Center

Institute of Urban and Regional Development (multi-disciplinary research unit)

Community Economic Development Clinic, collaboration between: Institute of Urban and Regional Development, Community Partnerships Office, Community Law Center

Nonprofit and Public Management Programs

Development of case studies related to entrepreneurship, logistics, ethics, etc., by: faculty and students
