Doctoral Programs Admissions Process

Requirements

A minimum grade point average of 3.0 for all upper-division (last 60 credits) undergraduate work and previous graduate work.
A master degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
A statement of purpose explaining why this degree would enable you to meet your career goals and how this specific doctoral program at UNAD Florida enables you to best reach these goals.

1.Apply online to the UNAD Florida Graduate School and pay the application fee.

As part of the online application, you also are required to provide a statement of purpose. Your statement of goals should addresses the following areas: why do you want a doctoral degree, how is this going to help you meet your professional goals, what is your research interest, and how do you see this research interest meshing with your school. If you are able, we also suggest including information such as a faculty member you have interacted with that could serve as your initial mentor, your interest in research as a career goal (if that is what you want to do), predoctoral research or employment experience that supports your goals.

2. Submit your official transcripts from institutions of higher education. These must be official transcripts in a sealed envelope from the institution of higher education.

1. Submit a completed and signed Graduate Enrollment Agreement . (See Downloads) The completed form can be sent by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , by fax to (954) 389-0506, by regular mail.

2. Take UNAD Florida’s English Test to determine language proficiency. (The English Test is not a requirement for admission, but determines whether (i) the student can enroll in the required, for-credit class , or (ii) the student needs to enroll in not-for-credit, preparatory English courses.


Returning students who have not attended UNAD Florida for over one year must resubmit an Application to Admission form in order to update personal information and verify educational goals. If the student has attended another institution in the interim period, an official transcript must be submitted from that college or university. The applicant must be in good academic standing at the last college attended at the time of re-entry.
